jason & nikki {wedding : to have and to hold : byron bay} 15.02.2012

Jason and Nikki are from Sydney, so we only had a chance to meet them for the first time a few days before their wedding for their engagement session. But after that hour or so, it felt like we were old friends and we were even more excited to be a part of their amazing ‘holiday escape’ wedding. Their vows were intimate and sweet, full of love and smiles and tears, and everything a wedding should be. The amazing celebrant, Chiquita Mitchell, was a perfect fit for their relaxed and personal ceremony.  I can’t recommend her enough. She is so talented at making couples relax and enjoy the moment they the the knot.

We felt so honored to share in such a special moment in their lives, reserved for only their parents to attend. They’re both those beautiful people you stumble across from time to time who shine on the inside just as much as the outside. Wishing you both a world of happiness together, lots of love xx. {kristie}

enjoy a slide show of the day…

music monday {bon iver : holocene} 13.02.2012

music makes me happy!  so happy. unfortunately i cant sing or play anything. but i can listen. for hours and hours, to one song, on repeat. I know i drive brett crazy sometimes when i become a little too in love with a new song or album. heck, even ella does her frustrated moan and grunt as she trots out of the office when the song intros, again.

it takes over the background think and chatter in my mind and whisks me off to another place.

so i thought it would be fun to have a music monday segment to share music we’re loving on mondays! perfect start to the week? i think so!

why not get the ball rolling with a bang by sharing a lovely little song by bon iver – holocene. this song reminds me of being in a pine forest, with ice crunching under my boots, all rugged up in warm, cozy jumpers and ice jackets… with a frozen nose and condensation on my breath. What a pretty place to be taken to…

You can check out more of their music here. Enjoy! xx
