I remember when I was first starting as a wedding photographer, I was soooooo nervous. Even though I’d been shooting portraits for at least a year before, taking the leap from portraits to weddings isn’t one to be taken lightly… after all, there is so much that can go wrong – and it can’t be done again!
Over 150 weddings in the past four years I’ve been a full time wedding photographer, there’s been lots of little things I’ve picked up that I wish I knew back then. Little tips and tricks that have become second nature, built my confidence and allowed me to think more about enjoying the day and less about what could go wrong.
I would love to share with you everything I’ve learnt and found beneficial. No holding back, or kept trade secrets – an open book. Not only on how we shoot, but how we run our business too.
The things I’ve learnt and will share with you are listed below, but more than anything I want to hear what you would like to learn and personalise the day around YOU. Your Day.
*** Photography/Shooting ***
Finding the light
And I don’t mean in that pretty late afternoon glow that is practically impossible to take a bad photo in… I mean in the harsh early afternoon light that most photographers avoid like the plague. All light is beautiful, you just how to know how to find it – I would love to show you how we do!
Posing
How we keep our couples relaxed and in the moment, while still creating beautiful and flattering photographs.
Post Processing and Photoshop
I’ll show you what tools we use to process our images and how you can create a process that works for you.
Workflow
How to keep on top of it all!
*** Business ***
Pricing & packages
I’ll share the pricing structure we use and LOVE.
Turning inquiries into bookings
how we reply to the initial inquiry, hold the wedding appointment, lead the booking, liaise before the wedding and continue to strengthen the relationship after.
Defining your market
How to attract the weddings and clients you want to photograph.
Albums and upsells
What and how to upsell.
And LOTS of Q&A
*** Live, real shoot ***
Your Day with ngg studios will include a live, styled session in a pretty park. BUT – with harsh early afternoon light and a beautiful REAL couple who won’t naturally pose it up like a rockstar in front of a camera . This way we can work through the process with real people in real, not-so-desirable, lighting situations. In your time. So you can ask as many questions as you like and learn at your own pace. AND have stunning photos to add to your portfolio.
*** Mini Session***
You will also receive a mini session with photos of yourself taken by ngg studios for you to use on your website and facebook page.
Your Day at ngg studios is designed for people in the first 12 months of their digital wedding or couple photography business.
The investment is $990, with a booking deposit of $500 and the final amount due 2 weeks prior to Your Day at ngg studios.
Bring a friend along and receive a Double The Sweetness discount. This is a saving of $300, and incudes all of the above for you and a friend for $1680!
Days will be held at our Meadowbrook Studio ½ hour south of Brisbane, from 9:00-5:00 and include morning tea, lunch, laughs and coffee – lots of coffee!
