welcome! 11.02.2012

Welcome! We’re so excited you’re here to see our brand spankin new site. Lots of love has gone into it, we hope you enjoy your stay!
Firstly, a big massive thank you to Amber of Sprowt design. Sersously, she is amazing. I think I would have sent me hate mail at the sight of my 100^th idea change!

So – whats new? WELL. LOTS! We haven’t blogged in the longest time, saving our new stories for the new site, so expect to see lots of new things in the coming days! We have a few big, exciting changes in store for 2012 and I’m so happy we can finally share! Here goes…

1. new site – again WELCOME!
2. We’re now shooting film along side our digital work! This makes us so so happy because it’s been a personal goal of ours for years. Having both learnt on digital, we felt it was something we wanted conquer. Plus it’s just so heavenly pretty! picture the sweetest pastel tones and creamy, beautiful skin.  Click here to find out a little more about why we LOVE shooting film so much!
3. We’re having another baby!!! JOKING. That’s so 2011. Eden’s growing just lovely btw. We promise to update more regularly now we’re back on the air.
4.  So this one is possibly my most favourite and most exciting… We will soon have a studio space again! As you may know, we used to have a commercial studio on the beautiful Tweed Coast, before we made the move to Brisbane. Well, the lifestyle sucked a bit. Who wants to ‘go’ to work when you can work from home in your PJs?! So fast forward nearly 2 years and we have a MASSIVE 2 room studio complete with kitchen and bathroom right. At. Home. But not ‘in’ home. Picture a massive detached unit perfectly suited to shooting bubs in natural light and catching up with our gorgeous couples over a glass of red and choccies. Lots of choccie. Which leads me too…
5. We will very shortly be offering newborn and bub sessions again. Wohoo! I miss newborn snuggles so much and can’t wait to open this a little later in the year.

brendan & jess {wedding} 04.01.2012

this post has been a long time coming! we shot brandan and jess’ wedding back in early december at the quiet little seaside town of evans head. i love these guys to bits! – absolutely love em. we had no idea, but we knew some of the bridal party through friends (we were in some of our best friend’s wedding party together a little over a year ago) and had no idea until we turned up on the day – the world gets very small around casino/evans head!

so… the day. it was rustic, handmade, DIY, eclectic, pretty as a picture perfection. I’d been counting down to this wedding for months. at brendan & jess’ e-session i got more juicy details about the feel for the day and i wanted it. right there and then. i knew it was going to be everything i adored in a wedding, sitting on a pretty silver platter ready for my photography heart to consume. and consume we did! have I mentioned how much we love our couples? coz really – we do! xo

oh, and i nearly forgot to mention – instead of a game of croquet or lawn bowls, these guys lended themselves to an over or two of cricket!  the perfect way to add a personal/aussie take on guest entertainment during cocktail hour!
